    There’s a newly installed show at Washington Street Gallery at 306 S. Main Street in Ann Arbor featuring a mixed media (with video) piece by Alvey Jones called “A Kingdom of Our Own” It’s on the right towards the back of the gallery.

    Alvey said that if anyone asks, “these strips address questions of cosmic importance. I just don’t know what they are.” His next Sunday Funnies strip will run on Nov. 1.

    As far as I can tell, it’s a somewhat choppy narrative of green drago-dog expecting mail while purple hairy virus boy makes himself a gin and tonic. GDB accuses PHVB of never mailing him his ransom money in the mail, which prompts him to curse him in an ancient dialect and pick him off for non-compliance with their prior agreement. GDB runs over to PHVB’s house and discovers the check was just left in PHVB’s mousehole and GDB shrugs off his recent killing having both disposed of his rival and also gotten the money he so deserves.
