if you want to see the power of the wind that went through you
should go to platt and ellsworth. south on platt from ellsworth
along the pole line bordering lilly park. there are a number of
fairly new poles just twisted/snapped off at the bottom with all
the lines down of course. i saw this sunday in the pm so they may
be fixing it by now. i actually was looking to see if you had a
    photo of it.

I think this is perhaps the windiest place in Ann Arbor. Standing around at the dog park (across from Lilly Park) is pretty much the only place I get cold. The wind is harsh all times of the year there!

I was told that the pharmacy at that Kroger is open, but the rest of the store is closed. Don’t know how that works.

Spencer Thomas has posted a photo of the area, complete with snapped poles.

New poles are up today, but the light at Platt and Ellsworth was still out at 4:30PM. It looked like there were power lines strung, but all the other lines (telephone, etc.) were still on the ground.
