I’m not sure, our sidewalks were already shoveled and I didn’t chase him down to ask. I’ll check if I see him walk by again.

Maybe he is Anthony, who saved me in the last big snow by walking by when I was trying to dig out the huge mound the plow had left. Here’s hoping he shows up this AM per our arangmeent. His price, however, was much too cheap for what he did, so if he comes by, please tip him! (That’s his business model.)

James, who just knocked on my door to see if I wanted the porch cleared, priced the porch at $5 or less and the sidewalk (it was already cleared, I was just asking out of curiosity, what with Chronicle readers wanting to know and such) around the same.

A couple of guys knocked at our door after the big snow a couple of days ago and offered to do our entire driveway and sidewalk for $25 (using only snow shovels). I’d have taken them up on it but we have a service. I think in the past we were usually charged $30 for that much.
