However, I did find a reference to a “skating park” in the Council Proceedings from July 2, 1906. This was in the Sidewalk Committee Report:

“Repair Weinberg’s walk along skating park on east side of South Fifth avenue.”

Good ol’ Weinberg was ahead of his (or her) time.
