Thanks for the wonderful article. About two years ago, I witnessed Carla in action when I presented a seminar for the inmates in her unit. After my presentation, she facilitated her guided meditation. I was so touched that I wanted to publish it in our next book so other correctional staff and prisoners would have a guide on how to facilitate a guided meditation and inspire inmates to do better things. We are proud to have Carla Wilson included in our new book “Serving Productive Time.” My wife, Laura, and I look forward to visiting Ann Arbor again, as my wife lived in Ann Arbor from the ages of 2 to 9 years old.

What a difference Officer Wilson has made. Inmates are held accountable for their actions – they receive an understanding ear but yet are challenged to face their mistakes and make a difference in their lives. I really appreciate Officer Wilson stepping out there by herself-she is confident and is leading by example. Congratulations Officer Carla Wilson the world will soon know there’s so much more to you. Continue to give, continue to set the bench mark and continue to be the encourager that we all need.
