There is a newer version of Spaceball at Huron Valley Swim Club, though I don’t think it is made by the same company as the one mentioned in this article. My son and I play it daily, it is great exercise and a lot of fun.

My sister sent me a copy of this story. I left the gym about the time Spaceball was starting, but I sure remember many many days I spent on those trampolines. The Gymkana was a great place and it is a shame it never got more business. Don and the gym were a positive influence in my life and they deserve recognition for the role they played in providing healthy, wholesome recreation for those of us lucky enough to find our way there.

The other great place for Spaceball was Huron Valley Swim Club. They had it outside near the pool area. Swim and dive for awhile and then play some Spaceball. I spent 100′s of very happy hours playing at HVSC. They may still have it set up.

Boy, did that article bring back memories. Back in the mid 70′s, when I was between 10 and 13, I use to ride my back from Miller Road near Wines over there to the old location every Saturday when we had a chance to do so. I recall alot of fun times on the old Space Ball trampoline and the other pit trampoline as well.
