<description>As I write this, my wife and I are enjoying our last night in Ann Arbor before the close of NTI. We have had an extremely pleasant trip, with the exception of being lost in a new place a few times.

The thing that most impresses us is the friendliness and helpfulness of your townspeople, from the front desk people at the Holiday Inn Express, to the student volunteers, to the many merchants we have encountered. All of you went out of your way to make our trip enjoyable, and we thank you.

Your Main Street and State Street areas are very vibrant examples of what downtown areas can be, and the cruise on the nearby Detroit Princess was remarkable. Our Mongolian Barbecue dinner was the most interesting meal I have enjoyed in quite some time.

One of the main reasons for the relocation of NTI to Ann Arbor, was the support that the area and UM gives to organized labor, but we could never have predicted the hospitality that eclipses even the southern hospitality we previously enjoyed.

Thank you for a wonderful week.
