Why would they take these down? I bike through November and even later until the temperature goes below freezing (to avoid biking on ice). I guess the racks are for the casual weekend bicyclist.
The sidewalk bike hoops might be considered adequate (and I would agree as of now) to serve the reduced number of cyclists downtown during the colder months.
The rack in front of the Co-op is also tagged for removal. I think it is too early, that rack is heavily used and will be until the snow comes. It has been great to have it though!
I agree, The biking season is far from over,keep them in place until the snow flies.They then can be removed so as not to hinder snow removal.(I’ll still be riding)
