It was just a couple of blocks from Oakridge Avenue, where we lived (I think it was on Passaic Ave and Center Streets–if I remember the street names correctly), and it was the very place where I headed to shop for ice cream cones (a nickel for one scoop) and for comic books (a dime). Obviously, that store was a major feature of my youth–long ago but not so far away in memory, at least.
