Two “tight” races? Warren beat Byrnes by 15% of the total vote. Of the vote that the two leading candidates received, the margin was 58/42. That’s not tight, that’s a landslide!

He has proven to me over the last four years on the Washtenaw County Board of Commissions that he has a well rounded liberal education with respect for viewpoints other than his own. When Jeff disagrees, he will argue his point and never engages in low blows or personal attacks. His style will be tested in Lansing. I hope its contagious.

I hope Jeff can make ground on one relatively obscure promise…to gather support in Lansing for the creation of a new National Park in Michigan. The Huron Mountain National Park. The last vestige of real wilderness in Michigan.

Rarely have I seen two more professional, committed and intelligent public servants vie for state office. They are both to be congratulated for showing how it can be done without tactics that clearly cheapen the process – and disaffect voters. My sincere congratulations to both.
