The estimated start date shown below is approximate, and will likely vary depending on conditions encountered during construction and other factors.

ESTIMATED

STREET LIMITS START DATE

Wildwood Avenue Lindwood to Dexter COMPLETED

Geddes Road Huron Parkway to Earhart COMPLETED

Hill Street1,2 S. Main to Railroad tracks COMPLETED

Broadway Street Swift to Plymouth COMPLETED

N. State Street2 Huron to Kingsley 7/26/10

W. Davis Avenue1,2 S. Main to Wilder 8/9/10

S. First Street1,2 W. Davis to Koch 8/9/10

Miller Avenue Chapin to N. Main 8/15/10

Vaughn Street Packard to E. University 9/1/10

Harbal & Leaird Drive Broadway to end 9/20/10

1 – No work permitted on University of Michigan home football game days

2 – No work permitted 7/19 through 7/23 due to Ann Arbor Street Art Fairs

Traffic Impact

For many of the above listed streets (Wildwood, Davis, First, Vaughn, Harbal, and Leaird), impact to traffic is expected to be minimal as these streets are primarily local residential streets. Access to residences will be maintained throughout the construction, with the exception of several days when the road will be closed for paving or concrete is being placed in front of driveways.

For higher traffic streets, traffic will be reduced to one lane, and/or detour routes will be posted as they become available.

Access to businesses and residences will be maintained during the majority of the construction project.

Funding
The 2010 Street Resurfacing Project is funded primarily by the 2007-2011 Street Resurfacing Millage approved by voters in 2006.
