No special occasion, I just wanted to have a hoedown. I have a picture, but didn’t see a way to post it on this thread. Stop by next year John (and anyone else), we hope to make the hoedown an annual tradition.

Rod, please be my guest! I would love to hear it. Matt, you know me, I usually have a pic, but I don’t know about making it a rule. “No llama brining at school”, on the other hand, seems rule-worthy to me!

But there’s a big difference between the region and an address on W. Madison.

Re. brining a llama to school: that sort of thing caused a big ruckus back in the day. Maybe the locavore trend has changed things, but I suppose even that can be preempted by concerned parents.

I’m not sure if it was ultimately allowed to happen– principal was worried about allergies– but the parent was quite willing. I think there might be some llama-envy happening here ;-)

It’s surprising how many there are around here.

John’s original post has been stuck in my head all night and I think I’m going to write a song around it, with his permission.

Ponies, now – was that an inference or a direct observation?

It’s a modern journalistic standard. I mean, a llama?!
