A2: Media

JunketSleuth.com, a new investigative reporting website based in Ann Arbor and funded by millionaire Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, launched earlier this month. According to a press release from the nonprofit that’s posted on PoynterOnline, the site “tracks how (federal) government agencies spend billions in taxpayer money on travel and related activities.” The site’s editor, Chris Carey, was a Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellow at UM – he also is editor of BailoutSleuth.com, a nonprofit news site formed in October 2008 that tracks how funds are used from the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) and other federal economic-stability programs.
