Driving them isn’t particularly hard, either.

They are the responsibility of the Washtenaw Road Commission.

That takes another call.

No, the real thieves in this town are appointees who, with their ‘votes’ steal lower salary range jobs from people struggling to put food on their family’s table during the worse economic crisis in nearly eighty years. We saw it almost happen with the Zingerman’s expansion and eventually it’ll happen with this parking expansion as well. I guess Mr. Westphal and I have different takes on the definition of stealing.

The problems Joe #3 notes do happen but the horrendous backups that used to happen at that intersection are pretty much gone. There also seem to be far few accidents there then before.

I wish they would put a roundabout at the Nixon/Dhu Varren/Green intersection, which is a complete mess.

I’ll check with City staff again.

Not a good mix to have students walking through shadows as they navigate through all that. Some of the light poles have been down (literally knocked down) for over two years now. On back-order perhaps?

This happens in two different ways: the driver is looking directly at me (already in the round), watching me come directly at them, or the driver never once looks left. Of course, there’s also the almost crunching into the back of someone because they slam on the brakes approaching the roundabout despite there being not a soul in sight.

Roundabouts work where people are smart enough to realize things like corporations shouldn’t make trillions of dollars denying us medical care. Here, people are too proud of their stupidity to navigate them safely.

The spot under the overpass where two lanes converge into one does not bring out the best in people.

Think of them as a much more efficient and user friendly, not to speak of eco-friendly since you frequently don’t have to stop, four way stops. They have been used for decades in Europe to move traffic efficiently. I think many people in AA just don’t know how to use them. The cosmos only knows how many times I come across someone frozen in their lane. A few more explanatory signs would help, particularly in the Skyline HS area where you get a concentration of new drivers.
