I didn’t see a synopsis of the claims against him here or on a cursory search of AnnArbor.com.

I have found that the BPSSG does not communicate well with the community and is very closed in who it involves in its activities. If parents feel their input is genuinely accepted and valued, the participation may increase.

The case generated national media attention.

I agree with her assessment. A teacher is in an authority position and a student often feels powerless to object or refuse unwanted touchings from such a teacher. The conduct at issue and similar conduct could spawn sex harassment lawsuits under Title IX, the Federal Civil Rights Act of 1871, plus the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act, whether unfounded or not.
