I am a mother of three teenagers in Saugatuck and still cry everytime I read a story about Wes.

He not only touched Fennville but the Saugatuck sports teams, staff, students, and community were hard hit as well. I can’t imagine losing Landon, my 17 year old son or my 13 & 14 year old daughters. I am heartbroken for the Leonard family and I pray for them everyday.

Believe it or not the boy was amazing for all kinds of reasons, but his love of people will be in our hearts forever….Wes thought the guy on the team that had very little playing time was just as important for the team as he was…We miss you Wes!

Most star athletes would not do that.
