Large bird, red head, eating roadkill. Middle of the road, stopping traffic. Significant wingspan. It stood about 18 inches high. I’m pretty certain it’s a turkey buzzard. [blurry .mov file]

    Turkey vultures are known to breed in the county. They tend to use large stumps in isolated woods. More info on the species: [link] [link]
