    Does this mean pulling a canoe as in trailering it along the road, or as in providing a towline, Erie Canal style, for canoeists on the river?

    I used to know a guy who would drive his car to a river, throw his bike in his canoe, canoe for hours, ride his bike back to the car, drive down to pick up his canoe and drive home. It was a multi-modal extravaganza. If he could have worked in windsurfing or rollerblading somehow it would have been amazing.
