Council Reconsiders, Delays Recycle Deal

At its July 18, 2011 meeting, the city council voted to reconsider its decision made at its July 5 meeting, when councilmembers rejected a change to the contract under which Recycle Ann Arbor provides curbside recycling service. The proposal would have bumped the payment by $107,000 a year.

At the July 18 meeting, the council voted to reconsider that decision and elected to postpone a final decision until its first meeting in August – on Aug. 4.

This brief was filed from the city council’s chambers on the second floor of city hall, located at 301 E. Huron. A more detailed report will follow: [link]
