And what happens when the Pittsfield Twp. FD is closer to a fire (than the AAFD), as appears to have often been the case?

For EMS response time, I’d think HVA could park a (2-man) ambulance in the perfect spot far cheaper than the AAFD could provide an (obviously more flexible) engine and crew. But deciding which was a better use of funds (at what time of day?) might get require a long analysis.

Maybe it’s just That Other Local Paper’s tornado coverage, but I get the impression that our Chronicle is putting out more content (certainly with fewer ads) than the (still far larger) staff Over There is.

The depth of coverage and level of analysis at the Chronicle continues to amaze me.

Ladder 5 (North Campus) and Tower 1 (Downtown) would be able to handle any need for a Ladder truck.

I believe that Station 2 was the first victim in reducing the budget for the Fire Department. I am curious as to what we will have to pay out to re-open Station 2 and close down the other 3 stations.

I can’t help but wonder if the maps take into account the stadium bridges or not, and what the difference is in coverage for somewhere like the Lawton neighborhood.
