I worked noon hour, child care, and day camp for AAPS while in college. After I got my teaching certificate and began teaching, I was surprised and grateful that I already has a few years in MPSERS toward my 10-year “vesting”. I know that another noon hour supervisor I worked with was also a night custodian and I’m pretty sure that the teacher clerk at my childrens’ school currently is also a noon hour supervisor. Not sure if this is a unique situation, but some noon hour supervisors do take advantage of the retirement system:)

And, thanks, Chronicle, for such fabulous recaps of the school board meetings. I’ve been to a few, and get much more out of your reviews than actually being there!
