Good job in seeing the schedule problem and guessing correctly, albeit pretty much in line with broad expectations by other analysts.

I think you are absolutely right that RichRod would never gain the benefit of doubt, but you have to admit there were some self-created problems…starting right out of the gate with legal constroversies, professional and private. In the end, though, I blame most of Rich Rod’s inability to fit-in on Martin – the whole hiring process was bungled and the bad vibes could only have been overcome by a much better winning percentage in year 3. Of course the Defense was simply atrocious and unforgiveable.

That said, Rich Rod is a good coach, maybe even a great one if you focus on recruiting and offense. His performance at Arizona looks good and under-rated…too bad for the loss to Arizona State which diminished the season a bit. To take that teams offense to where it was this season, at a lower tier PAC12 school was impressive. I find myself rooting for Rich Rod wholeheartedly despite never having been comfortable with him at Michigan.
