I hope Mr. Lutz has a stash of recipes he’s willing to share!

My mother is nearing 70, born & raised in Ann Arbor, and is desperate to find a recipe (or approximation) for the “long john” filling. I’ve scoured the internet with no results. Is there any chance that The Chronicle might investigate this with Mr. Lutz? I’m sure there are plenty of folks that would love to experience these again.
