Huron proposal over the last few weeks, I haven’t seen a mention about the wind tunnels created from the construction of all these large buildings. As someone who regularly walks down E. Washington between S. Division and State St., the amount of wind force blowing through the corridor near the new construction site has increased to the point that it can be hard to even walk down the street some days. This would also increase with the 413 project.

He seemed to be looking in the direction of Marcia Higgins who was staring into her computer.”

Mark, she was probably trading sarcastic emails with Joan Lowenstein and Leigh Greden.

A highlight of Floyd’s turn was a blistering rebuke of councilmembers who did not appear to be paying attention.”

Names please?

The question stems from a public hearing comment from Mark Koroi who noted none of the ‘members’ of the downtown citizens advisory council have current appointments….”

Several citizens approached Downtwntown Citizens Advisory Council Chairman Ray Detter in council chambers to question him regarding my public commment (per City Clerk records his appointment expired on October 2012) and he explained that his appointment remains current until renewed however this does not explain why his seat has an expiration date – as all seats on that council do.

The fact that the meeting agenda has been amended shows that this advisory council has not been properly constituted and no quorum of seats could have been attained with the expirations of the seats during 2011 and 2012.

The purpose of the Downtown Area Citizens Advisory Council is to make recommendations to the DDA as citizen input on behalf of area residents. The failure of every member to seek timely renewals of their appointments – allowing each seat to expire and become vacant I described to City Council as being “unprecedented” in municipal history.
