Thanks.

There are three appointments on the July 1 agenda for confirmation: [link]

Each appointment indicates the status of that position:

Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti SmartZone -Local Development Finance Authority Board: Eric Jacobson (Re-Appointment)

City Planning Commission: Jeremy Peters (Replacing-Tony Derezinski)

Economic Development Corporation Board: Jan Davies McDermot (Filling Vacancy)

Peters was nominated by mayor John Hieftje at the council’s June 17, 2013 meeting. His name is on the July 1 agenda for confirmation to replace Derezinski. [link to Legistar agenda item for confirmations]

How are you aware of this? Has the City Council approved him as a “compromise candidate” after indicating they did would not agreee to Tony Derezinski?

It was Jane Lumm who dissented from appointing Tony D. to the Planning Commision in 2012.

We have way too many projects where the sidewalks are more decorative than functional.
