I suggest he forget this nonsense of anyone in our City voting to do that by voting for a tax increase. Again, he pushes his own agenda for his own future political careet and isn’t representing the voters in his district. Surprise.

The topic is of intense interest to many people, and is a difficult one to resolve.

The problem is not really organization. It is funding. The committee has a lot on their plate. One factor I didn’t see discussed at length is that many different municipalities have addressed the funding shortfall in different ways (using local funds). One such is Pittsfield Township’s recent CIA for State Road.

The lack of adequate transportation funding is traceable to the lack of efficacy of the gas tax, which is historically the major source. I have done an overview of Michigan funding [link] but this is also a national problem.

I was curious about Supervisor Grewal’s language in which she “recused” herself from the subcommittee. She is not a person who uses language casually. Does this indicate that she sees a conflict of interest in serving? Yet many other township supervisors appear to be involved.
