No idea if it’s feasible in every case, but it’s a great notion as a default. The situation on Washington was so horrible for so long.

The NYC building code prohibits these closures, we should too.

That walk has been closed a lot for a long time with no visible signs of progress.

I was there at the very minute that the final fencing was removed, and I noted that the sidewalk was almost immediately full of people–as if it had been there forever.
