Around 6:30 this morning, along with the usual tank-cars and ordinary-looking freight cars, there were number of flat train cars heading south with military equipment including numerous tanks with turrets and various related vehicles, something we have never noticed on this railway line before.

The Toledo War had yet to be won!
There has been a number of sightings of military vehicles shipping via railroad around the country. My guess is that a lot of them are headed to Fort Irwin, California for participation in training events at the National Training Center located there. It’s where they train armored units in desert warfare using dedicated OPFOR units located there. (OPFOR = Opposing Forces in training terms.)
I like the Toledo War explanation. Perhaps an assault on Turtle Island? But they may also be headed home after training at Camp Grayling last weekend: [link]
