Just after 6 p.m .Within one minute, an eastbound car on Liberty runs the red at Ashley and a west bound car on Liberty starts to turn North onto First (one way street the other direction) before stopping suddenly. Something about nice weather?

The crowds for Brennan Andes Family Band at The Waterhill Music Festival were at least 500 people. [photo 1] [photo 2] Even the strollers were crowded out front. [photo 3] Fans filled the whole huge back yard. Success! They were great!

Made a couple of passes by this corner in the afternoon. Both times people with clipboards watching, writing, and crossing. Someone is measuring compliance with the crosswalk ordinance. Everyone was stopping as they should each time I went by.

Tree is fatality from high winds [on April 16]. It took out a large chunk of the maple next to it when it came down. A small red oak just planted by the city was missed – and suddenly that new oak tree will have an advantage to growing strong and tall. Neighborhood kids take advantage of the new play structure. Newly planted city trees: birch, yellowwood, and two types of oaks. On Liberty Street and also Seventh Street some new trees appear to be serviceberry trees. Diversity! Great long term plan. I’m especially in favor of planting those with edible fruit.

Crowds enjoyed another wonderful FestiFools celebration. Creative and colorful puppets, a few subtle political messages, more space aliens who apparently stayed over from the FoolMoon Festival – playing computer inspired games with kids.
