The degree, to be offered at UM’s Ann Arbor campus, is a two-year program of the School of Information and the School of Public Health. According to documents provided to the regents, the goal of the program is to “train a cadre of experts who will bring a human-centered approach to the development and deployment of health information technologies.” The target date to enroll the first graduate certificate students is the fall of 2011, with enrollment of the first master’s degree students in the fall of 2012.

This brief was filed just after the meeting’s adjournment from the regents boardroom in the Fleming administration building. A more detailed report will follow: [link]
