The geographic distribution of support for the four candidates is likely to vary widely across Washtenaw County, so initial  results may not give a clear read on the final outcome. The top two vote getters will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot.

This brief will be updated as additional precinct totals are known. Check the Washtenaw County clerk’s election results website for definitive, but still unofficial results.

Updated at 11:28 p.m.: Current results show Fink with a total of 9,544 (40%) of votes, compared to 7,805 (33%) for Kuhnke and 2,754 (11.5%) for McClure, and 3,623 (15%) for Washington – which reflects a total of 110 out of 139 precincts informally reported. Those results don’t include any precincts from Ypsilanti Township.

Updated 1:15 a.m.: With all precincts reporting, unofficial totals show Fink with a total of 11,468 (41%) of votes, compared to 8,767 (31%) for Kuhnke, 3,303 (11.8%) for McClure and 4,377 (15.6%) for Washington.

Updated on Aug. 8: After a data merge glitch at the Washtenaw County clerk’s office, the final unofficial results now show Fink with a total of 13,208 (41.4%) votes, compared to 9,493 (30%) for Kuhnke and 3,689 (11.5%) for McClure, and 5,423 (17%) for Washington.
