I am a little confused about whether he had brakes on the bike or not. The one eyewitness said the cyclist made an “emergency stop” to avoid the car, but I don’t understand how the cyclist could make an emergency stop with no brakes. Actually, I don’t understand why someone would ride a bike with no brakes in the first place.
