On the scene was one of those City of AA water service pumping trucks and a pickup. They had blocked off a part of s.b. Packard and were doing something in a manhole. Except instead of opaque, the hose coming out the back of the truck, it was translucent, blue, and lit up. No clue what was wrong.

Some of us submitters actually live off Packard, too, but were tired :-)
