this was absorbing and disturbing. i wish the author good luck moving foward and hope that he makes good choices and cherishes his family. the choices he makes now can prevent multi-generational incarceration in his own family.

This delightful series shows what a horrendous joke the justice system is in Washtenaw County.

The circuit court judges need to be dumped.

Count me among those who found these pieces absorbing, thought-provoking, and for the most part beautifully crafted. I still have an issue with the author’s decision not to disclose the charges he was jailed on. But that could be my problem, not his.

What a great story. It was cool to watch him transform from a naive crybaby totally out of his element to a man who understood the system and used it to his advantage. Great life experience–and lesson–for him.

I’d love to read more. I hope his life has turned around!! Of course there’s two sides to every story but we seldom hear the incarcerated side. This has been a real eye opener, an entire world that is completely foreign to me seemed to open up a little. There’s some powerful writing here with a lot of promise. If I were a publisher, I’d seriously take a chance here and build on this with the author.
