Actually, when Bach Open School was moved to Mack the Open School community voted on a new name .We wanted one we could take with us if we ever had to move again. The winner was Ann Arbor Open. That is the name of the school. The district wanted to be clear about the building and that we had not renamed the building so they added @Mack which is sometimes used. The word School is not in the name of the school at all. Ann Arbor Open School was one of the names on the list which we voted on, but Ann Arbor Open was the clear winner!

Here’s another thing about the privitazation at my kids’ school — because the staff has turned over, some kids are using other kid’s names to charge lunch, and the lunch staffers fall for it. We have unused lunch accounts (because I’m not paying for junk food when they don’t even offer vegetarian junk food every day) that we had to close because SOMEONE was charging lunches to us.

When evaluating the cost of the outsources vs insourced food service, did Rolland Zullo include the cost of payments to the state pension fund in the cost of in-sourced food service?
