So we all huddled there with the wheelchairs in the pouring rain listening to the thunder and watching the lightning for an extra 35 minutes or so (the gates were originally supposed to be opened at 6:30 am). When the Commencement Ceremony began, when we began to dry off a bit, and when a sliver of sun emerged as the President arrived, the long wet wait seemed well worth it.
