The out of town owners allegedly contacted the contractor that has been hired to do the snow removal. While I do not know the name of that company, I have seen trucks from Outer Pride there in the past. They came and salted and cleared some, the sun helped some, and a tenant did the remaining work to clear these walks.

The current situation is dreadful for those with any mobility impairment.

What I don’t understand is why some businesses seem to think it’s enough to clear their parking lots and driveways, but ignore their responsibilities for sidewalks.

(Thanks for coming to my defense, Anna!)

There were quite a few problems at crosswalks near the UM, but I noticed that people were helping other people traverse them. These snow-covered paths are particularly tricky for individuals with mobility challenges, of course, so if you can assist a wheelchair user or elderly person, etc.–after asking whether he/she needs help–please do.
