Just some fact checking – but EMU’s only Sweet Sixteen team was 20 years ago exactly: 1991 and Earl was not on that team (Marcus Kennedy, Kory Hollas, Lo Neely and Thomas twins.)

The decade of 1987-1998 at EMU is considered the glory years. Four NCAA tournaments and one NIT appearance. That was amazing consistency! And Earl could be considered the best of them all!

But, college ball has changed and we will not see those players ever again at EMU.

It was particularly fun for us when he was in Denver with Chauncey. You’re right, he’s amazing and there is no one that is more fun to watch. I think he loves the game in a way that most people can’t understand, but can admire. Congratulations Earl!
