I love the idea of the night market, but I see no reason to use Lunasa, to which I belong (there is a membership fee) and which has its own schedule and procedures. I'd like to see an opportunity for the small growers who may not be there all season long. And I'm in need of some more artisan kimchi (the Brinery wasn't at the last Lunasa market I attended).

Great idea! I can’t go Wednesday morning because of work schedule, and unless one gets up very early on a Saturday it’s just too much of a madhouse. An evening farmer’s market with different or new vendors is something I would attend!

What a great set of ideas. There’s lots of producers waiting in line, lots of new ideas like the pots and trays group. This shows what Ann Arbor folks can do when they put their heads together.

This is a great idea. There are many new small scale farmers who would love to participate at the market, but who are prevented from doing so because of the senority arrangement in the current market structure. I say keep this for those breaking into the “mix” so as to provide a similar opportunity to newcommers. It can only help “grow” the movement, right! I’d only add that farms under 5 acres are perfectly capable of producing exceptional produce. We grow on 3 acres and we had farmers buying our produce last year; now that’s a vote of confidence.

I love this idea! Unless it’s summer and I’m off school, I can’t make the Wednesday morning markets and eventually, the Saturday market becomes way too overwhelming for me (too many people). What a great way to get folks downtown and milling about (cuz you know I’d stop in at ABC after!!) :)

I love the idea of an evening market. I can never make it Wednesday AM, so this would be very convenient. I just hope that it isn’t all tiny growers. While I love to support them, it would be great to have some of the usual larger suspects come. I can’t always afford artisan sauerkraut.

An evening market would be awesome for people like me who commute outside of the city during the day and can’t attend the daytime Wednesday market.
