Dave, I feel that I have already gone sufficiently out on a limb by using the word eccentricities. After all, they are in the eye of the beholder. But, since you’ve baited me, let’s just say that, for example, Lima Township does not have, nor will it ever have, a foreign policy. ;)

I’m all in favor of governmental efficiencies in terms of operations and the like. However, as a resident of an economically benign township (Lima) I am concerned about spreading Ann Arbor-government-like “eccentricities” throughout the County. That would be my principal concern with a county-wide government in the style of Marion County/Indianapolis IN.
