Barclays was in business for 22 years. 16 Hands has been in that location for 20 years. Obviously people shopped at those places for years. You don’t pay the rent with smiles to the landlord. Downtown is changing (for the worse) and the economy in Michigan is terrible. So, times are difficult. But, your assumption that people don’t shop in those places, just because you don’t, is incorrect and insensitive to the people who have worked hard making downtown interesting and unique.

Did you maybe load the wrong page? This isn’t AnnArbor.com. Or maybe you missed the request at the bottom of the comment box where commenters are asked to “Be Generous.”
