Then a couple of years later she got in a shoot-out and caught a bad guy everyone else was still chasing.

I’ll take a “girl” cop like that over a big hothead or a coward, any day.

To have one real cop (large, tough male Chicago Bears linebacker type who can break up fights and bust the mean bad guys) we have to pay for three cops: one retiree, one 95 pound girl in cop costume, and the real. If we get a long hot summer with “civil disturbances” that last more than a few hours and spread from place to place, guess what will happen when you call 911? Don’t count on the State Police, there are hardly any of them left. Don’t count on the National Guard, they are in Iraq and Afganistan.
