The picketers are representing the Masonry Union. All of the subs that Phoenix has contracted (electrical, plumbers & pipe fitters, carpentry, etc.) are union except for the masons. After a good-faith effort to use a union mason contractor we ended up having to go with a non-union contractor. B & P is the company hired to do our masonry an experienced company from Brighton MI.

The picketers have a right to express their protest, and are being very respectful of our staff and our customers while they are picketing.

So the picketing is likely over the selection of specific subcontractors for things like electrical work.
