Amazing! The Cascades were really fun, and the rest of the trip a revelation. I hadn’t paddled that stretch for 25 years or more, and the woods alongside have grown up much more than I remembered. Most of the way, you have no feeling of being in a city. Rather, you feel you are paddling a wooded stretch of river in a peaceful rural setting.

I think the Argo-to-Gallup paddle will become a very popular attraction, and people will discover the wonder of our clear urban river. Congratulations to all who conceived of this project.

I’ve made the trip several times, and have not had any problems (although my son and his friend, who were following me, did flip ther kayak). The livery staff were there to assist anyone who got into trouble, and were very friendly and helpful. I expect this will become one of Ann Arbor’s most popular attractions, particularly as the weather warms and word of mouth starts spreading. Congratulations to all who had a part in developing this wonderful venue!
