She was not a starter, and her four years of playing for Michigan was not what she had hoped for, but under Carol Hutchins she grew as a person, and as a parent that is the best stat you could ask for. Hutch taught her perseverance, hard work and dedication can lead to success, not only on the field but in life. During her time at Michigan we had many a tearful phone call home, I don’t know if I can do this, I’m not good enough. The next day would be I did it, Hutch pulled me aside and told me this or that. She motivated Angie, and with a few of ” those visits” to Hutch’s office found herself believing in herself. Through her experience of those four years, she has made life long friends, learned life long lessons and two weeks ago graduated from Law School. Angie may not be remembered for that game winning home run or that top ten play made on the field, but Carol Hutchins and her staff, Bonnie Tholl and Jennifer Brundage will forever be remembered to us as people who touched our daughter’s life and helped to shape her in to the woman she is today. GO BLUE !
