It is so gratifying to me that this land assembly has been taking place with the cooperation of many entities, including the SEMLC, Washtenaw County, and the Ann Arbor Greenbelt Advisory Commission.

I take the long view on land preservation. I’m imagining what our county will look like in 50 years. This area will be an important respite if we become increasingly urbanized, and if not, it will avoid becoming a wasteland of failed developments and polluting industrial uses. Keep in mind that Superior Township has heroically avoided the urban sprawl from Canton Township. These important land preservation efforts help.
