Re: [16] Yes, Steven, you're right that they're breaking them out by precinct. Navigate there by clicking on "Reports" and then "Precinct Reports Index" That will allow you to drill down to the precinct level absentee votes. Or you're also welcome to look at The Chronicle's compilation of the data in a spreadsheet. The tab named "PCT Precinct" is the one with the best overview of precinct-by-precinct absent voter totals.

I thought that they were breaking absentee ballots out by precinct, but the County site doesn’t show them at all. I assume they have been counted at this point?

Whatever glitch was an issue at the Dicken polling station was resolved, and final unofficial results from Ward 4 indicate Jack Eaton has won the race with 1,233 votes (64.6%) over 674 votes (35.3%) for Marcia Higgins. [link] In Ward 3 – again, unofficial – Stephen Kunselman has won with 927 votes (51.8%) over 862 votes (48.2%) for Julie Grand. [link] It's been a long day for everyone – here's hoping all candidates and their supporters get a good night's rest.

The City Clerk is also providing a running tabulation of votes for the first time as far as I can remember. Go to the City Clerk’s page, take the Elections link, and there is a link (in red) to the August 6 election returns. There are cumulative totals, and precinct details.

Regarding City Attorney Postema’s run for the Judge Shelton’s seat vacancy, Mike Woodyard has aleady announced he will be a candidate for that opening.
