It really looked – and sounded – cool. I’m sorry that the fountain was already put to bed for the winter, I had walked up there especially to see it one last time before spring. But the water show of all the sprinklers blasting out water and air together at once, and slowly coming to fizzling end, really made up for it. It is time to store the hose, and drain my garden’s underground passive irrigation system. Mine is made up of sealed clay pots made into capsules, buried amidst the plants and fed by a bucket fitted with a tank valve, and that is fed by a hose. It has worked well all summer.
