The good thing I see happening to City Council is the swearing in of Jack Eaton.

The Fourth Ward needs a vocal advocate for change and accountability.

So as a pedestrian, if I am in the crosswalk and traffic appears to be slowing but not stopping, do I continue walking or just stand there and hope they don’t actually run into me? Anything that requires lots of judgment from both pedestrians and drivers seems to be a recipe for injury.

The Ann Arbor crosswalk ordinance is not a “midblock crosswalk ordinance”. Midblock crosswalks are legal in other cities, in Michigan and in other states, and will continue to be legal if the Ann Arbor ordinance is repealed.
