I never heard of any skate facility built in the 70s around Ann Arbor. There were a few backyard half pipes (Torrey St ramp, Sloan Chin’s and Fulmer ramp). Can you provide more detail?

I remember when this ramp was build and a friend was in the Ann Arbor news because he helped build it. If I remember right, the ramp was built by volunteers.

Local Chaos has a gallery photos from the skating scene over the years in Ann Arbor. Some of the links are busted but the facility Susan mentions might be there somewhere. I’m also told that Andy MacDonald is in some of those photos, but I wasn’t able to pick him out.
